The problem

Marketing isn’t supposed to be a weekly game of “What should I try now?”

Today, almost every marketing tactic comes with a perfectly convincing reason you should be doing it. Your website. Email. Print. Paid ads. Partnerships. Content. Funnels. Follow-up.

All potentially useful. Definitely not all your next move.

Where should I advertise?
Should I be emailing more?
Is my website the problem — or is it my offer?
What does my business need next?
Which channels are worth my budget?
Should I hire someone for this, or handle it in-house?
What am I missing?

The hard part isn’t coming up with marketing ideas. It’s knowing which problem to solve, which move deserves your budget, and which idea can wait.

When you don’t know, marketing gets expensive fast.

You can pour money into ads when the real problem is a weak offer. Spend weeks rebuilding a website when your positioning is fuzzy. Hire someone to execute a tactic before you’ve decided whether that tactic belongs in the strategy at all.

And once you’ve invested the money, there’s the second-guessing: Was that the right call? Should I have done X instead? Is this even working?

The question underneath all of it

Am I putting my time and money where they’ll actually make a difference?

The second problem: AI

AI made more possible. It didn’t make the decisions disappear.

AI can draft your email, brainstorm a campaign, generate a print ad, and hand you 100 marketing ideas before lunch. Which is amazing. Until you’re staring at those 100 ideas wondering which three are sane.

Business owners are asking a whole new set of questions:

  • ◆Where should I actually use AI in my marketing?
  • ◆What context does it need before I can trust the answer?
  • ◆Is this genuinely good — or just polished and plausible?
  • ◆Am I trusting it too much?
  • ◆Why am I still spending hours tweaking and regenerating?
  • ◆What can AI handle well now — and where is human expertise still worth paying for?
AI Assistant
Why aren’t my ads converting?

Great question! Here are 7 strategies to boost conversions:

1. Refresh your ad creative with bold, scroll-stopping visuals

2. Test three new headlines with urgency triggers

3. Increase daily budget to exit the learning phase

4. Add a limited-time discount…

Looks smart. Is it right?

AI can make execution dramatically faster and cheaper. But it still needs context, direction, standards, and a human who can look at a very logical-sounding answer and say, Nope. Wrong problem.

The goal: use AI with confidence without outsourcing your judgment to it.

You don’t need to become your marketing department.
You need to know how to lead it.

Maybe you’ll write some things yourself and use AI for others. Maybe you’ll automate repetitive work, delegate to your team, or bring in a copywriter, designer, strategist, media buyer, or agency when specialist expertise is worth the investment. Great. You run a business. You are allowed to have help. 😁

YOU LEAD

But you should understand enough to answer four questions:

1What does the business need?
2Why does it need it?
3Who — or what — should handle it?
4How will I know if the result is good?

That kind of judgment changes how you spend. It changes how you brief people. It changes what you accept from AI. And it makes it much harder to burn money executing the wrong thing beautifully.

Introducing

The Modern Marketer Business Owner Track

An AI marketing program for the person ultimately responsible for the business.

The TMM Business Owner Track is a 3-month live program built to help you understand what makes marketing work, make more strategic calls, and use AI with confidence. Across 13 modules, you’ll learn how to understand your customer, strengthen your offer and positioning, evaluate messaging and creative, choose channels and campaign direction more intelligently, and build useful AI workflows and marketing systems.

And because business owners have approximately zero interest in becoming professional students, the work stays tied to the company you’re already running.

We built this curriculum specifically for the AI era. Execution has gotten faster. Basic assets have gotten cheaper. The judgment behind the work — what to say, what to fix, which channel to use, what to trust, what to reject — matters more.

Application

Your business is the homework.

Every core project can be completed on your own business — so the hours you put into the program can double as hours spent improving it.

There are seven core business-building projects. Complete all seven if they’re useful. Your enrollment includes four personalized Coach Critiques total, and you choose which four projects get that detailed review.

Coach-reviewed project workbooks
01

02

Customer + Data Insight Brief

Turn customer language, research + data signals into usable insight.

03

04

Offer + Positioning

05

Coach critique

Complete any/all projects.

An extra perk of a mixed cohort

You don’t have to execute every asset yourself.

You’ll be taking the AI marketing program alongside experienced copywriters, designers, and other creatives who are joining to deepen their strategy and AI skills. If there are assignments you would rather delegate, you’ll likely have the option to collaborate with creatives in the cohort and let them use your business as their real-world case study.

Business owner

Real company + real brief

brief → asset → coach critique

⇄

Creative

Uses your business as a case study

That can be a beautiful win-win: they get a real company to work on; you get an additional marketing asset or strategy built for your business. And if that creative selects the work for one of her Coach Critiques, the asset gets reviewed by a coach too.

Translation: you may walk away with more coach-critiqued work than the four projects you personally submit.

Why learn this from Michal?

Hi, I’m Michal.

Agency founder. Marketing strategist. Educator. Mother of six. Recovering caramel ice cream addict.

I’ve been working in writing and marketing since 2007 — first inside agencies, then as a freelancer, and eventually as the founder of Michal Eisik Media.

Over the years, my team and I have helped 200+ brands sharpen their positioning and messaging. And since launching my first online course in 2018, I’ve trained 600+ creatives, freelancers, and entrepreneurs across our flagship programs.

Michal Eisik

I originally created CopyTribe to train the kind of strategic thinkers I wanted to hire. That turned into nearly a decade of teaching people how to research customers, spot weak positioning, sharpen offers, write stronger messaging, and make smarter marketing decisions.

Now AI has changed what businesses can create on their own — and what they need humans to be good at.

So we rebuilt.

TMM pulls together the marketing judgment I’ve spent years using with clients and teaching to students, then updates the work for an AI-native reality.

My favorite kind of learning is the kind you use on Tuesday.

Can you look at a piece of marketing and spot what’s off? Can you stop an expensive project before it heads in the wrong direction? Can you give a freelancer, employee, agency, or AI system better inputs — and recognize whether the output is strong?

That’s the bar.

How we teach AI

AI: useful. Fast. Capable. Occasionally loony.

TMM is an AI-native program, which means AI is woven through the actual marketing work — research, strategy, writing, creative, email, campaigns, and systems.

We’re not interested in teaching you 47 shiny prompts that stop being useful the minute the tools change. We’re much more interested in teaching you what the AI needs to know, what job to give it, how to judge what comes back, and where a human still needs to make the call.

You’ll learn to:

  • ✓Give AI stronger strategic context before asking it to produce
  • ✓Use AI to analyze customer and competitive research
  • ✓Explore ideas and angles before choosing a direction
  • ✓Draft and revise faster without getting stuck in endless regeneration loops
  • ✓Build reusable workflows around work you do repeatedly
  • ✓Recognize generic, inaccurate, off-brand, or strategically weak output
  • ✓Preserve the voice and personality that make your brand yours
  • ✓Know when to edit manually, send work back through AI, or bring in a human
  • ✓Build human checkpoints into AI workflows so you stay in charge
AI workflows and prompts libraryAI workflow and strategy cheatsheets

The best AI result is not “Wow, that was fast.”

It’s: “I just saw something in my business I hadn’t seen before — and now I know what to do about it.”

A small taste of the approach

Feedback on the Business Owner AI Marketing Starter Kit

“Not had anything like this level of strategic thinking from AI before with my homemade prompts.”

Starter Kit feedback

“It has come back with GOLD… a really clear and sharp analysis, critique I never thought of before, and at least 5 ways I could tangibly improve our messaging and marketing immediately.”

What business owners have said about learning with us

The Modern Marketer is new by design.

Marketing changed fast. We did not want to take an old copywriting program, sprinkle in a few AI lessons, and call it current. We rebuilt the curriculum around the decisions businesses face now. These testimonials are from business owners who took the Business Owner Track of CopyTribe, our previous flagship program — the teaching, feedback, and strategic thinking carry forward.

Esti Bald
“I’ve taken many courses over the years. No one — and I mean NO ONE — teaches like Michal. She is absolutely the best in her industry and the best educator hands down.”
Esti Bald · Director of Development, Links
Dr. Yael Tusk
“The program gave me everything I needed: marketing strategy, messaging fundamentals, and the how-to of starting your business. A few years later, I am happier than ever with my career, income, and clients.”
Dr. Yael Tusk · Founder, TCM Fertility Clinic
Regents Boosters logo
“As a business owner, I wanted to learn to manage my marketing — well… I used the skills to write the copy for my website, and recently implemented the techniques in my marketing materials for two trade shows as well — and the results were excellent.”
Ruth Hertz · Founder & Developer, Regents Boosters™

  • ☑You hire freelancers, employees, or agencies and want to direct them better.

  • ☑You want stronger judgment around offers, messaging, campaigns + spend.
  • ☑You want what you learn to feed directly back into the business.

Skip it if…

  • ✕You want to be completely removed from marketing decisions.
  • ✕You mainly want a ready-made library of AI prompts.
  • ✕You want deep technical certification in individual ad platforms + tools.

The Business Owner Track is built for the owner who wants to lead marketing decisions intelligently — whether she executes the work herself or hands it to someone else.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need marketing experience?+

No. The AI marketing program starts by giving you a solid framework for understanding modern marketing, then builds into strategy, AI, messaging, campaigns, email, and systems.

Come ready to think, apply, and make decisions about your own business.

What if I outsource most of my marketing?+

That may make the program more useful, not less.

You may never personally write every email, design every ad, or build every campaign. But when you understand what strong marketing should accomplish, you can hire more intelligently, brief people better, evaluate their recommendations, and know whether the work you’re paying for is worth the investment.

You don’t need to become your marketing department. You need to know how to lead it.

How much time should I expect to spend?+

Plan for approximately 3–4 hours per week total, including class and application.

Most live classes run about 1–1.5 hours. The rest of the time goes toward applying what you’re learning — often to marketing work your business needs anyway.

When are the classes?+

The kickoff is Tuesday, Nov. 3. Core live classes begin Wednesday, Nov. 4 and generally take place on Wednesdays at 2:00 p.m. ET. Most classes run 1–1.5 hours.

There are also several recorded trainings throughout the AI marketing program.

View the full course schedule ↗
What if I can’t attend live?+

You’ll have access to the recordings — for life.

Live attendance is useful because you can participate and ask questions. But if a Wednesday gets eaten by, well, life, you can catch up.

Is this mainly an AI course?+

It’s an AI marketing program. AI is integrated throughout the way modern marketing is taught and applied.

You’ll learn customer research, buyer psychology, branding, positioning, messaging, copy, design judgment, campaigns, email, and marketing systems — with AI embedded into the work where it creates real leverage.

Do I need to be technical?+

No. You’re learning how to use modern marketing and AI systems intelligently. You are not training to become a developer or automation engineer.

What if social media isn’t relevant to my business?+

Then you should not build your marketing around social media. 🙂

Channel strategy starts with your audience, goals, economics, and business reality. The AI marketing program does not assume every business needs the same platform or marketing mix.

How do the assignments and Coach Critiques work?+

There are seven core business-building projects available during the program. You can complete all seven.

Your enrollment includes four personalized Coach Critiques total. You choose four of the seven projects to submit for detailed coach review.

If you complete any of the remaining projects, you can still use the training, templates, rubrics, and resources to guide the work — but those projects do not receive personalized Coach Critique under the standard Business Owner Track.

Can a creative in the cohort work on my business?+

Yes. You’ll be learning alongside experienced creatives who are sharpening their strategy and AI skills, and there will be opportunities to collaborate.

If a creative uses your company for one of her projects, you can benefit from the work she creates. If she chooses that project for one of her Coach Critiques, that work gets coach feedback too.

It’s also useful practice for a skill every business owner needs: directing smart people without doing every piece yourself.

What happens when AI changes again?+

It will. Frequently. Probably before we finish typing this answer.

That’s why the AI marketing program focuses on durable skills: giving AI useful context, choosing the right job for it, building smart workflows, evaluating what it produces, and keeping human judgment involved where it matters.

What exactly is the 15-day guarantee?+

Join the program and experience the beginning for yourself.

If you decide within the first 15 days that it’s not right for you, request a refund. We’ll return your payment minus the $150 non-refundable registration fee.

I’m still not sure whether this makes sense for my business.+

Talk to us. Tell us what you run, what you’re doing now, and where you feel stuck. We’ll give you an honest recommendation.

Talk to Michal's team

Your marketing will always involve decisions.

Where to spend. What to fix. Who to hire. What to automate.

Which idea deserves attention now — and which can wait.

Where AI can save you hours — and where a human should stay involved.

You don’t need perfect certainty before every move. You do need a strong enough marketing brain to make the call, understand the tradeoff, and know what you’re looking at when the work comes back.

Lead your marketing with stronger judgment, clearer priorities, and AI working beside you.
